Reading Interventionist
I taught kindergarten for 25 years at Madill Public Schools before becoming the reading interventionist for kindergarten and first grade in 2008.
I began my teaching career as a Vocational Home Economics teacher, but always knew I wanted to teach young children. I taught Pre-school/Pre-K at the Madill Community Day Care Center and adults at Murray State College in the Child Development/Child Care Programs. When I began teaching Kindergarten in Madill, I realized a life long dream.
I am married to my childhood sweetheart who is now retired and can be found on the golf course. We have 2 wonderful daughters and two teriffic son-in-laws and five fun grandchildren. One family lives in Ada,OK and the other in Palo Alto, CA.
My hobbies include reading and gardening. My husband and I love to take our grandchildren on trips. During the summer, we usually have one or more grandchild staying with us. We love playing at the lake.
