Coach Brett Weiberg is entering his 20th year of coaching basketball. He has coached the last five years at Missouri Western State in Saint Joseph, MO. In those five years the Griffons qualified for post season play four of the last five years. Coach Weiberg coached five All MIAA players and graduated ninety percent of the players that finished their eligibility.
From 2001-2006, Coach Weiberg was the assistant basketball coach and taught at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, OK. From 2006-2013 Brett was the head basketball coach of the Mavericks at Northern Oklahoma College. During Weibergs’s tenure, he coached eight All Conference players and two First Team All Region II players. The NOC Mavericks won the OCAC Confence Championship in 2013 and posted a 27-4 record under Weiberg’s leadership. Coach Weiberg has coached numerous players that have played at the Pro, Division I, Division II, and NAIA level. As of 2018, he currently still has six players playing professionally.
Prior to Northern Oklahoma College, Coach Weiberg served as an assistant at the University of Texas at San Antonio, Wayland Baptist Univeristy and Blinn College.
Coach Brett Weiberg is married to Kristy Weiberg of Temple, TX and they have three Children. Jared “Cole” Weiberg (17years old), Jayden Cora Weiberg (14 years old), and Jackson Cash Weiberg (10 years old).
