Red Ribbon Week Holds Deeper Meaning, Greater Significance for MHS

Madill will observe Red Ribbon Week. It’s a national event in which school students across the country are encouraged to live a drug-free lifestyle. The Students Against Destructive Decisions group at Madill High School leads out in the effort. Kelly Goff serves as the group's advisor.

The Madill High School SADD Chapter was begun by former MHS principal and English teacher Cindy Dodds following the death of then student Nikki Jones in an alcohol-related auto accident in January of 1990. It was then known as Students Against Driving Drunk.
