The Madill softball team scored a 2-0 win over Kingston in the late game Monday. The softball crew had lost in a see-sae battle 9-8 in nine innings to begin the evening. The boys soccer team shut out Bethany 2-0 on the road as Fransisco Perez and Rodrigo Villegas netted the goals in the triumph. The baseball club shut out Pauls Valley 4-0 behind Cash Coble’s stellar performance on the mound. He surrendered a mere two hits while recording 13 strikeouts. Andrew Ray went 3-for-3 at the plate. The soccer girls suffered a 4-0 setback to Bethany.
The Lady ‘Cats had six hits in game two against Kingston. Emily Austin and Aubrie Cantrell added a run batted in each in that win. Dahlia Marris and Austin went 2-for-3 from the dish. Ireland Spooner and Allyson Knight added a hit each in the contest.
A seven-run fifth frame fueled a furious comeback attempt in the first game in Kingston. Madill had trailed 3-0 after the fourth stanza. Emilie Johnson , Marris, and Lauren Campbell collected two hits each. Johnson and Campbell had the RBIs. Payton Arnold added the other hit for the Lady ‘Cats. Kingston tied the game in the seventh to push it to extra innings and won it with two runs in the bottom of the ninth.
The boys golf team played in the Lone Grove tournament Monday. Brylan James led the Wildcats with 99 for the day. Josh Johnson carded a 106. Colby Lambertsen finished with a 114 and Deuce Glenn turned in a 128.
The softball team has district playoffs Tuesday at Plainview with Dickson. Madill faces Dickson first at 11 a.m. The winner of the entire day will advance. Madill’s soccer senior night is Tuesday as Ada comes to town. The baseball team will host the Pauls Valley team Tuesday.
